This historic site, known as the Old Shrine, is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and began as a parish church in 1720. Over the years, a Small Shine and Basilica were added and these along with its gardens and location next to the St. Lawrence River, have made the Shrine of Notre-Dame-du-Cap a destination for both tourists and pilgrims. Cathedral of the Assumption + My Favorites
One of many stops along the King's Road in Trois-Rivieres, the cathedral was built in the mid-19th century and is known for its stained glass windows. Address: 362, rue Bonaventure | Trois-Rivieres, QC | G9A 2B3
Saint James Anglican Church + My Favorites
Located on the King's Road, the stone church dates from 1754 but there was a monastery on the site as early as 1693. Jesuit Manor House + My Favorites
The Manoir des Jesuites (Jesuit Manor House) was built what is now the Cap-de-la Madeleine section of Trois-Rivieres in 1742. Located along the King's Road route, the house is now in the possession of the Oblate Fathers and is not open to the public.
